Named after a legendary Italian cook who set up a canteen serving meals to railway workers, Stoa Kolomvou (or perhaps Galleria di Colombo) used to be one of the city’s main market-halls, dating back to 1929. The team behind Cantina Tropicana chose the exact same location within this magnificent gallery passage and created a really beautiful bar, where modernism meets pop art and art deco, while a collection of retro artifacts and antiques create the most playful atmosphere.
Great cocktails, snacks and dancing mood go in the mix every single day while some of the city’s finest DJs select the best soul, funk, tropicalia and freestyle grooves till late every night. The quiet backyard garden is ideal for morning coffee under the shade of the trees and also perfect for early drinks and relaxed cocktails on a Sunday afternoon.
